Ovenden Youth Work operates from Forest Cottage Community Centre two evenings each week. The project runs themed programmes of work around issues such as health, community and art.

Description:
We offer two detached youth work sessions every week Monday and Thursday from 6.45-9.15. You will see us out on the streets in our blue jackets and we stop and talk to young people and can offer advice on a variety of issues from housing to sexual health.
We regularly give young people a chance to try new activities in the evenings. These have included rock climbing, mountain biking and various alternative sports.
We offer programmes of work during school holidays; these have included graffiti projects, digital arts programmes, sports activities and much more. If you are interested in getting involved with any aspect of the Pellon Young People's Project please contact us.

Description:
The Centre aims to:
- offer young people aged 13 to 19 learning opportunities that will inform and empower them.
- raise their aspirations and increase their participation by offering programmes that are both educational and culturally sensitive to their need.
We offer various group sessions, mixed cohesion, girls group including junior girls only gym, healthy eating, sports including boxercise and games, C card and sexual health advice, discussions and awareness around drugs and alcohol misuse.
We are LGBTQ friendly and a designated safe space. We also offer support for transitions to college, university and careers advice and signposting. Varied project work including Many Voices and Music Project. We also offer support and guidance around life skills such as budgeting and independent living.

Wednesday: 6 - 9pm Mixed Cohesion.

Description:
A clean, bright and vibrant youth centre, which offers a cheerful welcome for all young people irrespective of ability. The centre is continually looking to improve working in conjunction with young people's involvement. An active Youth Forum has a strong influence in activities provided. Facilities include coffee bar area, lounge area, disco area, cyber café and sports hall.
Come along every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening (7.00 - 9.30 pm) with occasional weekend events, and chill out with supportive workers.

Description:
Situated in the college in the centre of town, the centre is a safe and friendly place for young people to meet. It has internet access and a well equipped recording studio. The centre offers a range of activities, an information and advice service, C-card registration, award schemes and a local youth forum.
The centre is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 6.30 to 9.30 pm for 11-19 year olds.
