Members:
The Halifax & District Amateur Radio Society promotes Amateur Radio and Short Wave Listening in Calder Valley. We provide training, exam guidance and support for radio enthusiasts. Join us to explore radio communications, electronics, and gain a transmitting license in the UK.
Meetings:
We meet on a Tuesday at 7pm each week, at Elim Church in Sowerby Bridge, which has both disabled access, and disabled toilet facilities on the ground floor. Limited parking for disabled visitors is available outside the main entrance door.
Joining fee is £20 per year and £2:00 per meeting.
Further information:
Amateur radio is an inclusive hobby, enabling people with limited mobility or disabilities to enjoy worldwide radio communication from home. We host regular call-in radio nets for remote participation, ensuring everyone can engage despite being unable to attend in person.
