2013/14 membership fees - £8.00 per year. Meetings consist of a winter and summer syllabus, with the winter programme being made up of a series of invited guest speakers, and summer programme a series of visits and walks to places of local historical interest.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month, from 7.15 to 9.15 pm.

Winter meeting attendances average in excess of 50 members per meeting and summer visits approximately 15 - 25 members per visit.

The Annual General Meeting takes place as part of the October meeting. In addition, there is an annual day trip by coach to a place of interest further afield, and an annual dinner in March. Both of these events are charged at cost and are most popular with members. The meeting room is at ground floor level.

The Society also manages substantial archive material in the History Room, located in Elland Library. The room is staffed by Society volunteers and is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
