How you can help
Introduction
In the face of a problem like global warming, we sometimes feel powerless as individuals and we don’t believe that anything we do will make an impact. But if every individual changes just one or two things about the way they live, it can all add up to make a huge and positive difference.
In 2005 Defra (the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) estimated that 27% of the UK's CO2 emissions came from domestic sources. The energy we use to heat our homes, travel around and generally live our lives all contributes significantly to the UK's greenhouse gas emissions and global climate change.
