Full description:
Methodist chapel, and attached former ministers house. 1806, enlarged 1890. Coursed stone with ashlar dressings, and stone slate roofs. 2 storey. North, gable front has 3 windows, with a large round headed central window which spans both floors. The ashlar surround has a raised keystone and impost blocks, between the floors a panel inscribed WESLEYAN-ENLARGED-1890, the 2-light windows have margin lights and the upper window also has round headed lights and a central circular light. Eitherside are single margin light windows and above single similar round headed windows. Above a moulded ashlar cornice to the half-hipped gable. East front, 7 windows, with to the right a large double doorway with ashlar surround, two 8-panel doors and an overlight. To the left 6 margin light windows. Above 7 similar round headed windows with raised keystones, and above a bracketed eaves. West front has similar fenestration. South, gable front has a single margin light window on the ground floor, and an attached smaller wing, the ministers house to the original chapel. The east front has a doorway to the left with a 4-panel door and a flush ashlar surround, to the right a 3-light flush mullion window with a central plain sash. To the right again a single plain sash in similar surround. Above blocked former 3-light window. Attached to the south a later, single storey lean-to addition. Above in the south gable a former 2-light flush mullion window, now blocked with a tiny shuttered opening in the top right corner.
Interior: retains U-shaped gallery with original pews and pannelled front supported on iron columns. Ground floor retains oringinal wooden pews, pulpit, reading desk and organ case in the segmental archway.
