Full description:
Probably earlier C19. Range of traditional stone cottages in 4 blocks. 2 storeys plus another at rear which is partly in separate occupation. Each has a pair of stone-framed windows and bracketted eaves-cornice to stone roof. Nos. 11 to 31 gain interest from gallery added to rear with bridge to stair tower etc, all of Gothic character and mid/later C19 date. This was one of the several architectural exercises of a notable dye manufacturer J E Wainhouse. Partly derelict at time of inspection.
