Full description:
Farmhouse. C17, probably early/mid, altered and restored C20. Coursed rubble, stone slate roof. Main range of one storey and attic, 2 cells with through-passage and 2-storey bay on left. Quoins; double-chamfered mullion windows. Main range on left of right bay a gabled porch with chamfered, quoined, Tudor-arched doorway with sunk spandrels, kneelers, ashlar coping, finial and, inside, stone benches and a similar doorway. To right of porch is a 6-light single-chamfered mullion window renewed C20, and on left a 2-light fire window with 6-light double-chamfered mullion window beyond. At higher level on left is a later chamfered light. Three C20 dormers and a skylight. Corniced ridge stack to left of centre. Left hand bay: C20 gabled porch on right masking plain stone surround doorway. To its left a 5-light, now 3-light, window under hoodmould to left and a C20 window above porch. End stack to left. Rear: main range: gabled porch with chamfered, quoined Tudor arched doorway. To its left a 2-light window with renewed mullion; to its right a blocked quoined doorway with 2-light window (renewed mullion). Left hand bay projects and has a 5-light, now 3-light, window with hoodmould. Left return: first floor window on left of 4, now 3-lights under hoodmould. Right return: two 2-light windows to ground floor and above.
Interior: through-passage has chamfered quoined doorway on left into house body and door with monolithic jambs on right into service room. House body has large fireplace with deep corbelled segmental-arched monolithic lintel and moulded cornice. Left room has fireplace with monolithic lintel. Right hand room above has small, low, fireplace with deep lintel.
