Full description:
Church. 1848 with later additions. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. Early English style. West tower, 5-bay nave, 1-bay apsidal chancel with north and south additions. Tower: 3 stages. Off-set angle buttresses, band at each stage. Western pointed-arch doorway has moulded surround with colonettes (one gone); 2-light Y-tracery window with hoodmould to 2nd stage; 2-light cusped belfry window. Corbel table. Steeple with vesica and finial. Nave: plinth, cill band, bays divided by gabled buttresses; lancet windows; corbelled parapet with gable coping and pinnacles at each end. Chancel: lower east end has 3 sided apse with lancet to each face. Interior: nave: formerly a western gallery; corbelled roof trusses with ogee struts. Pointed chancel arch on corbelled attached columns. Apse: columns support ribs with central boss. Box pews in remnant of nave. Later traceried panelled reredos with fruit and foliage frieze; later pulpit; open-work altar rail. At time of resurvey being restored and western half of nave converted to social area.
