Full description:
(Formerly listed as Orangery at Field House). Orangery. Dated 1749 but in character probably c1874. Ashlar with glass roof. Single storey, 5 x 2 bays. Each bay has a tall round arched window with imposts, date over central window. Cornice interior: roof supported on cast-iron columns, plain at front, at rear chamfered and with decorative iron-work in the spandrels. Similar in style to gate piers and lodges (Nos. 192 and Porter Lodge (q.v)) on Rochdale Road which are dated '1749 rebuilt 1874'.
