Full description:
(Formerly listed as Gate piers east of Field House). Pair of gate piers with gates. Probably c1874. Ashlar piers, cast-iron gates. Piers, square in section; each having a plinth with moulded top, shaft with fluted band and festoon frieze to each face, moulded cornice, urn on coved corniced fluted base and with swags and flame finial. Gates: 2-tall leafs; spiked bars; two curved braces to each leaf. The gate piers are identical to those on Rochdale Road attached to No. 192 and Porter Lodge (q.v.) which are dated '1749 rebuilt 1874'.
