Full description:
Farmhouse, now clubhouse. C17 much altered C19 and C20. Large blocks of coursed stone, smaller blocks to gable of wing; stone slate roof. 2 storeys, ground floor back-to-earth, 3 bays with cross-wing on right forming T-plan. Quoins to left. From left: bay 1: 2-light chamfered mullion window (more mullions originally) with inserted door to right; similar window and inserted window above. Bay 2: doorway on left with double-cusped lintel in c1980 porch; to its right a 4- (now 2-) light double chamfered mullion window with similar single-chamfered window above and inserted window over door. Continuous ground-floor dripmould to bays 1 and 2, broken by porch. Bay 3: 3-light double chamfered mullion window to left of blocked later doorway with similar window and inserted light above. Wing: a blocked window with plain stone surround to each floor; in left return a doorway with similar surround and dripmould with blocked arched light above. Stacks to left end of house, to ridge between bays 2 and 3, and to end of wing. Rear: 1st floor of main range has a 3-light hollow chamfered mullion window to right and an altered 2-light chamfered mullion window to left. Right return: wing extended on right on 1st floor of left part remains of a 5- (now 3-) light double chamfered mullion window and two 2-light chamfered windows (mullions gone). Interior: boxed-in spine beams to central room; large scantling purlins in cross-wing.
