Full description:
Mill reservoir. Probably c1885 (date of sheds to west) for John Murgatroyd and Sons. Coursed squared stone lining with flat coping to rectangular reservoir. Pipe in western side carrying water into the reservoir; sluice in eastern side, by means of which water would have been directed into the vats below (qv). Included for group value.
