Full description:
House, now 2 dwellings. Early-mid C18, converted mid C19. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. 2 and 3 storeys, 5 bays. Road front: 2 right-hand bays 2-storeyed. Quoins. Openings have plain stone surrounds, windows with recessed flat faced mullions, several removed. 3 lefthand bays (No. 28), from left: steps down to doorway with a 3-light window to left on each floor; a full-height transomed 2-light stair window (top and bottom lights blocked); a 3-light window to each floor. 2-right hand bays (Beech House): to left of centre a blocked doorway flanked by 3-light windows on each floor, lower right hand window with inserted doorway. Shaped kneeler to right. Stacks to ends and centre and to ends of Beech House, forward of ridge. Rear: 3 storeys; quoins. Beech House has a 2-storey C19 canted bay window with 2-light flat faced mullion window above and on left, a 4-light window as front to each floor. No. 28 has central C19 door flanked by c1980 windows; above on each floor, a 1-light window flanked by 2-light windows, all C19 with flat faced mullions and sashes. Shaped gutter brackets and kneelers; coping. Left return: a 2-light chamfered mullion window, mullion removed. Right return: in gable a blocked 4-light double chamfered mullion and transom window.
Interior: No. 28 has stair with C18 type turned balusters.
