Full description:
House, probably late C16 with added porch dated 1624 with late C19 extension to west (excluded from the item) and mid C20 alteration to east. Hammer dressed stone, largely rendered, ashlar porch, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. South front of 5 divisions. 1st is late C17 single-cell extension with altered double chamfered mullioned window with inserted doorway with monolithic jambs. Over, to 1st floor, is 4-light window. Next 2 divisions are main late C16 through-passage house which breaks forward under 2 coped gables with kneelers. Each has double chamfered mullioned window with ovolo moulded mullions to ground floor with hoodmoulds with straight return. 2nd division has 5-light window with 4-light window with chamfered mullions to 1st floor; inserted doorway with monolithic jambs. 3rd division, gabled cross-wing with finials, has 6-light window and 2-light fire-window to housebody which preserves its bressumer and heck-post; 5-light window to 1st floor. 4th division formed by 2-storey ungabled porch with Tudor arched lintel and richly moulded surround with shields set within the spandrels; inner doorway has similar doorway with simple chamfered surround; upper floor jetties out slightly, supported on moulded stone corbels with 2-light chamfered mullioned window with arch headed lights and sunken spandrels. 5th division is set back and is mid C20 refronting of service end with modern double chamfered mullioned windows in keeping. Rear has through-passage doorway with straight lintel and chamfered surround and double chamfered mullioned windows. 2 stacks to ridge.
