Full description:
House dated 1679 with added rear wing dated 1709 and attached barn. Hammer dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. Forms a long range with barn to left. Modern glazed porch at junction with house which has double chamfered mullioned windows to ground floor with single chamfered to 1st floor. 5-light window with 3-light over; 2-light and 4-light with 4-light over; 2-light window (fire-window?) with 3-light over. Low porch breaks forward with doorway with tie stone jambs and columbarium over lintel; two 3-light windows with 2-light windows over to 1st floor all lack mullions. Coped gables with ball finial. Rear has impressive double gabled range at right angles with double chamfered mullioned window of 8 lights with label stops inscribed "BSH", "1709" with 6-light window over to 1st floor, bulls-eye to apex. Attached to left hand return wall are tall gate piers with pulvinated frieze, cornice topped by ball finial. This leads into courtyard with rear door, probably to through passage, inscribed "IEH 1679". Return wall of wing has 6-light window and 2-light window with hoodmould with heart shaped stop. Attached barn has cart entry set within single aisle. Angle-strut trusses.
