Full description:
House, formerly a public house, late C17 with mid C18 alteration. Hammer dressed stone, ashlar quoins, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. T-shaped. South front is long side of cross-wing: 4-light double chamfered mullioned window to left of added porch mid C20; 2-light flat faced mullioned window over to 1st floor. To right of porch another of 3 lights. Left hand return wall has 2-light window with 4-light flat faced mullioned window over to 1st floor. Low outshut breaks forward with single double framed window with two 2-light windows above roofline of outshut to 1st floor of main range. Right hand return wall has quoins and flat faced mullioned windows of 4 lights to each floor with circular opening to apex. Main range, set back, has 6 light window with 5-light window over to 1st floor. Gable stacks to wing. Interior: Main range has wide room with large fireplace with straight lintel which is painted with a picture of a cow, a repainting with decorative marbling initialled "JMS 1921".
