Full description:
House, early to mid C17 with added late C18 cottages. Finely dressed stone to front and left hand return wall which has extruded gable stack, hammer dressed stone to rear and cottages. 2-room plan with end through-passage, may have been 3-room plan with service end rebuilt. All are double chamfered mullioned windows. 5-light window; 5-light window and 2-light fire-window to housebody. String course over ground floor windows. 1st floor has 2 windows of 4 lights. Doorway contained in cottage range which breaks forward and has outer porch similar to inner doorway with stop chamfered surround. 2-storey single-cell cottages. Central cottage has 2-light windows with projecting sills flanked by 3-light thin flat faced mullioned windows to both floors. Each has doorway with monolithic jambs. 3 stacks to cottages 2 to house.
Interior of house has chamfered joists and spine beams with scarf joints, evidence of former bressumer to housebody. Former parlour has fireplace with straight lintel and broad chamfered surround, one spine beam has a groove to its soffit for panelled screen dividing 1/3rd of the room to rear. King-post roof.
