Full description:
House, some detail surviving from mid C17 with mid C18 and mid C19 alterations. Hammer dressed stone, ashlar quoins, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. East front has 4-light double chamfered mullioned window with 4-light chamfered mullioned window over to 1st floor; doorway with monolithic jambs to left of 3-light flat faced mullioned window with one of 4 lights over to 1st floor. Left hand return wall has large C19 flat faced mullioned windows of 2 lights and doorway with monolithic jambs. Rear, originally a single storey out shut, was raised to 2 storeys under flat faced roofed dormer (mid C20). Right hand return wall has gable entry doorway into aisle and chamfered mullioned windows of 2 lights to either side and to 1st floor. Single stack to ridge. J. Watson, History of Halifax, p.59.
