Full description:
War Memorial, c1922. Carved white marble statue of a soldier in battle-dress resting his hands on the barrell of his gun standing on a rock. The base of which has a scroll engraved:
"IN COMMEMORATION,
OF THE GALLANTRY,
AND SACRIFICE OF,
THE MEN OF THE,
MYTHOLMROYD URBAN,
DISTRICT WHO GAVE,
THEIR LIVES IN THE,
GREAT WAR 1914-18". Granite plinth. Stands in a small park in the centre of the village.
