Full description:
Pair of weavers' houses, late C18. Thin coursed hammer-dressed stone and stone slate roof. Internal gabled stacks to both ends. 3-storey paired cottages with centrally placed doorways with common central large stone to jamb. Each has 4-light flat faced mullioned window to ground and first floor which also has single light window over doorways. There is a 5-light window to each at third storey with 6 solid lights between. Originally this upper storey was probably a weaving loft of 16 lights. Rear elevation has similar disposition of windows: those to ground floor are altered but to first floor two 4-light mullioned windows survive intact, with two 4-light mullioned windows to third storey with 5 filled in, making originally a 3-light window to this third floor weaving room which also has a large taking-in door, filled in.
