Full description:
Large and magnificent C17 aisle barn. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. Of 3 or 4 bays with aisle on north east side only with a very broad gable projection to full height of the central aisle on the south west side. The south-western elevation has large square headed barn entry with composite jambs. The wide gable breaks forward from the main range and has low sweeping roof to sides. Centrally placed to ground in this gable is doorway with depressed arch with 2-light chamfered mullioned window to left. Above are 6 arch headed ventilators with spandrels arranged pyramidally in 3 tiers. The south east (end) elevation again has large gable with low walls and long sweeping roof and archheaded ventilators. North east elevation has a break in the aisle with square headed barn entry at arcade-plate position. Right hand return wall of aisle has a doorway with 4 centred head and chamfered jambs. Interior of post and truss construction with straight braces to arcade-plate and tie beam. Queen-strut roof, not all original.
