Full description:
Washhouse or possible peat coat. Early C18. Hammer-dressed stone, ashlar quoins, stone slate single pitched roof. 2 storeys. 5-light chamfered mullioned window altered to 3 lights with old glazing and sash. Over is window with chamfered surround. Doorway with tie-stones. Right hand return wall has 1st floor door entry with raised jambs approached up flight of stone steps. Interior has 4 large flat arched openings with projecting shelf possibly fireplaces (no flues). Listed for group value.
