Full description:
A rebuild of c1860-70 of early C19 chapel. Hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings, slate roof. 2 storeys. 5-bay depth. South entrance front under steeply pitched gable which has quoined buttresses flush with wall plane. 3-centred arched doorway of 3 orders with carved head-stops to drip mould. To either side pairs of small lancets. Single lancets to 1st floor with weathered sill course stepped up to sill of large 2-centred arch main window rising into gable with plate tracery of Gothic design. Pairs of stilted arch lancets to sides. Stained glass reset from demolished Mankinholes Chapel.
Interior: Chapel at 1st floor level with exposed trusses refurbished late C19/early C20. Simple Gothic detail. Good rural setting in moorland village.
