Full description:
Late C17 or early C18 house, used for Non conformist worship in mid C18, converted into 4 cottages mid C19. Large dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 5-cell front. 1st cell maybe added mid C18 as it is in thin coursed hammer-dressed stone with quoined angles. Original doorway to 3rd cell has segmental arched lintel, jambs with tie-stones, one of which bears date 1719, chamfered surround. One other similar doorway to 5th cell has straight lintel. All other cells have inserted C19 doorways. Mostly double chamfered mullioned windows lacking one or more mullions. 1st cell has 2-light window (lowered to doorway) with same over. 2nd cell, light window with 3-light over. 3rd cell, 4-light window, with 3-light over. 4th cell has two 2-light windows to 1st floor, 4-light flat faced mullioned window to ground floor. 5th cell has 3-light window and doorway with tie-stones to 1st floor. Coped gables with kneelers. Right hand return wall has tall double chamfered mullioned and transomed stepped windows of 2 over 4 lights to former meeting room. Rear preserves chamfered mullioned windows of 2 and 3 lights to ground floor and 3 flat faced mullioned windows of 4 lights to 1st floor. 3 stacks to ridge.
