Full description:
House of early to mid C17 now in 2 occupations. Hammer-dressed (rendered) stone, stone slate roof. Two storeys. Hall and cross-wing. 3-bay south front has gabled cross-wing which projects and has altered windows. Right hand return wall has 2-light chamfered mullioned window to 1st floor and lateral stack. 2nd bay (house-body) has double chamfered mullioned window of 6 lights (3 mullions removed) with 4-light window over (lacking 2 mullions). 3rd bay has double chamfered 2-light fire window (lacking mullion). Hoodmould continues over both windows diamond label stops. Beyond firewindow is doorway with basket arched lintel with spandrels and chamfered composite jambs leading into hearth passage. Interior: Housebody has stop chamfered spine beams, rear storeroom has diamond set wooden mullioned windows visible only from inside. King post truss in smoke bay with mortices to soffit for firehood.
