Full description:
Farmhouse now 2 dwellings. Mid C17. Rubble brought to course, rendered to front and part of rear; stone slate roof. Through-passage plan. 2 storeys, 4 bays with partial outshut and rear wing. Front: left bay breaks forward. Quoins. Ground floor (left to right): blocked 3-light chamfered mullion window; glazed door in plain stone surround; 8-light double chamfered mullion window with king mullion; 5-light double-chamfered mullion window to right of plain stone surround doorway. Over the 2 right-hand windows a continuous hoodmould with heart stop to left. 1st floor (left to right): 2-light flat-faced mullion window; 3-light chamfered mullion window, mullions removed; 4- now 2-light chamfered mullion window; 4-light flat-faced mullion window. External stack with quoins and offsets to right (top renewed); ridge stacks to right of door and to left. Rear: outshut on left is under catslide roof and has quoins, a 2-light and a 3-light chamfered mullion window, all mullions removed, dripstone to latter. Central bay, projecting as gabled wing, has quoins, gable stack and in right return, a 5-light double-chamfered mullion window with hollow-moulded dripstone and a 4-light, now 2-light, window above. To right of wing a board door in plain stone surround with surround with chamfered light over. Right-hand portion breaks forward and is quoined. Interior: quoined doorway from through-passage into house with wood lintel. Room in rear wing, divided from front of house by plank and muntin partition wall, has large chamfered, quoined fireplace with deep triangular lintel and bread oven on its right, and a stop-chamfered spine beam. The main house, formerly 2 rooms, now 1, has, in (former) left room, a large chamfered fireplace with deep lintel and stop-chamfers to beams and some joists and in (former) right room a chamfered, quoined, arched fireplace with deep lintel, a stop-chamfered spine beam and joists. On the 1st floor a plank and muntin rear partition wall runs the length of the house. Straight braces rise from wall posts to plates and tie beams. King-post trusses with braces to ridge-piece, right-hand truss with 'V' struts.
