Full description:
Lodges and Archway, c1865 originally gate to now demolished Castle Carr. Neo-Norman style. 2 symmetrically placed, single bay, 2 storey castellated lodges with projecting stair towers joined by a castellated semi-circular arch. Each lodge has 2 chamfered, mullioned sash windows, the upper ones taller. Topped with shallow machicolations, extravagant crenellation and arrow slits. (DESCRIPTION AMENDED 12.07.1983)
