Mid/later C19. Distinguished stone building on tapered corner site. C13 Gothic style. 3 storeys plus another in slated roof. Arcaded ground storey. Paired arched windows above. Gables with minature turrets, stone dormers and pierced parapet to steep modelled roof. Chimney stacks. 4 windows plus 3 to Waterhouse Street and 7 to return in Crown Street. 2 entrances. (Nos. 2 to 16 (even) form an island group with Nos. 4-10 (even) Central Street and Nos. 43-55 (odd) Crown Street).
