Car entry and modern shops to ground storey retaining pair of enriched cast iron columns. 1st floor windows with pediments on brackets. Corniced windows above and modillion crowning cornice. Dormers to slated roof. (No. 1 (with south extension of White Swan Hotel), White Swan Hotel and Princess Buildings together with all the listed buildings in Crossley Street, No. 2 Wade Street and No. 12, Nos. 18 to 22 (even), Nos. 17 to 33 (odd) Northgate and No. 2 Crown Street form an important group).
