Entrances have order of Greek Doric half columns set under broad, segmental arch (middle one to arched passage). End houses have one window to front and longer return with entrance. No. 2 St John's Lane has canted corner and No. 4 Ward's End now with shop to ground storey. (Nos. 2 to 8 (even) together with No. 4 Ward(s' End and No. 2 St John's Lane form a group).
