Full description:
A row of 11 Houses. 1860. Ashlar stone with ashlar dressings and slate roofs. Many ridge stacks. Plinth, first floor sill band and bracketed eaves band. Main front, 24 windows arranged, 2, 7, 4, 8, 3. The slightly off centre middle pavilion projects slightly, 3 storey plus attics with a large pediment. Ground floor has a pair of Doric column porches with C20 glazed double doors with over-lights, flanked by pairs plain sashes in moulded surrounds, above 4 segment headed plain sashes with raised surrounds, above 4 plain sashes and in the pediment 3 graduated, round headed plain sashes. On eitherside, 2 storey wings with doorways with rusticated Doric pilaster surrounds, canted bay windows and plain sashes, above 8 plain sashes to the right and 7 plain sashes to the left. The end pavilions are topped with large pediments; that to the left with a plain sash and a canted bay window, with 2 plain sashes above; that on the right has a central door with rusticated surround with a canted bay to the left and a plain sash to the right, with above 3 plain sashes, both pediments have 2 round headed sashes. The south end has 3 plain sashes to each of the 2 floors. The north end has a central rusticated doorway with a canted bay to the right and a and a plain sash to the left, above 3 plain sashes. Outside a low wall with chamfered coping, the section to No.1 retains its ornate iron railings.
