Full description:
Large detached house. 1861. Coursed stone with ashlar dressings. Graduated slate roof and coped gables with kneelers and finials. 3 ridge and a single external stack. Chamfered plinth, quoins and a first floor band. Gothic Revival style. 2 storeys plus attic. All windows are chamfered ashlar mullion windows with pointed heads and plain sashes. South entrance front. 3 windows with recessed centre and flanking gabled wings. Central doorway, with part glazed door, within a 4-light mullion window surround. Either side a single 5-light canted bay window with trefoil panelled parapet. Above a 2-light window, and either side single 3-light windows in pointed arch surrounds with hood moulds. Above again a central C20 dormer, with either side single light windows in the gables. West front, 3 windows with an off-centre, projecting gabled wing. Central 4-light canted bay window with battlemented parapet. To left a 2-light window, and to right a large projecting 7-light canted bay window with trefoil panelled parapet. Above a 3-light window with a shallow pointed head, flanked by single 2-light windows. Above again a single light window in the gable. East front, has tall external stack to left, with panel inscribed 1861. Central 2-light window, with above a 2-light pointed arch, stair window. To the right a projecting gabled wing, with 2 flat headed 2-light windows, and above a single 2-light window, plus a single light window in the gable. North, rear front, has a pointed arch doorway with plank door, and irregular fenestration of mostly flat headed mullion windows. Attached to the north-west a single storey C20, flat roofed addition. Interior has a wooden single flight and return stair, with bulbous turned balusters and newels plus moulded hand rail.
