Full description:
Dated 1637. Good traditional stone house with stone roof. 2 storeys. Long irregular south front with 2-storeyed porch topped by parapet and finials. Arched inner and, more elaborate, outer doorways. The dated lintel inscribed IMM. Mullioned windows with dripmoulds and carved labels, to west of porch a stepped and transomed window and gable over. Gabled cross-wing beyond again with outbuildings in front (of little interest). Various later doors. Irregular, gabled return to east. North side has simpler mullioned windows and 2 gabled cross wings, corresponding to front. Various doorways, that to No. 6 with stone above dated 1708 and inscribed IMS. Lean-to between cross-wings. Whole house in use as store at time of inspection.
