Nos. 1 to 22 (consec) form part of Akroyen, a model village begun by Col Akroyd in about 1851 to the designs of Sir G G Scott but never completed. Mid C19. Row of eight 2-storeyed Gothic houses with low basement. Stone with eaves to slated roof. Arched doorways. 4-light mullioned and transomed windows to ground storey with 2 & 3 light opening above sharing gable (mullions removed from all except No. 21). Nos. 1 to 22 (consec) form a group).
