(NOS. 2 TO 64 (EVEN) AND NOS. 37 TO 55 (ODD) FORM PART OF AKROYDON, A MODEL VILLAGE BEGUN BY COL AKROYD IN ABOUT 1851 TO THE DESIGNS OF SIR G G SCOTT, BUT NEVER COMPLETED). Mid C19. Row of ten 2-storeyed Gothic houses, stepped down hill. Stone with eaves to slated roof. Each 2 windows, some with mullions removed. Shields with initials set in arches to entrances. (Nos. 2-64 (even) and Nos. 37-55 (odd) form a group).
