1870 to 80. Erected by Col Akroyd as the central feature in the model village of Akroydon. Hexagonal stone structure in rich C14 style. 3 main stages above high stepped base, crowned by pinnacles and small spire. Worn statue of Queen on south side with inscription below. Remains of mosaic decoration to north and south.
