Nos. 10 to 30 (even) and Nos. 33 to 37 (odd) form part of Akroyden, a model village begun by Col Akroyd in about 1851 to the designs of Sir G G Scott but never completed. Later C19. Pair of substantial stone houses, eastern house now divided into Nos. 33 and 35. C16/early C17 style. 2 main storeys plus another in slated roof. Shallow gabled wings at either end of north and main south fronts. Mullioned and transomed windows. Grouped chimney stacks. Iron escape stair to south front of No. 37. (Nos. 10 to 30 (even) & Nos. 33 to 37 odd) form a group).
