Full description:
House, late C17 or early C18 altered to form 3 cottages mid C19. 2 storeys. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. Quoins. 2-storeys. Elevation to street has doorway with segmental arched lintel and stop chamfered surround to left of single window with plain stone surrounds. Same over to 1st floor. Central doorway (for No. 4) with monolithic jambs with, to either side, large square windows. Over, 2 windows with double chamfered surrounds. Doorway with monolithic jambs (No. 2) to left of altered double chamfered mullioned window now of 2 lights. Similar over to 1st floor. Right hand return wall has doorway to basement. 2-light double chamfered mullioned window to ground floor. 2-light chamfered window lacking mullion to 1st floor. Rear has 3-light chamfered mullioned window with one of 6 lights which only retains king mullion. Mid C19 lean-to has stack. One other stack to ridge. Rear has large stone footings for earlier building probably timber-framed. Over No. 4 is plaque recording the holding of Methodist meetings here c1748-1746.
