Full description:
House and attached barn. Late C17. Large dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 2-cell house forming with barn an L-shaped plan. House has basket arched doorway on skewbacks with chamfered surround to left. Ground floor windows are double chamfered mullioned; 1st floor windows are chamfered mullioned. To right of door is 5-light window (lacking 2 mullions), with former 7-light window over lacking mullions but retaining 2 king mullions; 4-light window (lacking 2 mullions) with same over. Coped gables with kneelers, 2 stacks to ridge. Right hand return wall has 2-light window to gable. Rear has chamfered mullioned window of 3 lights, with to either side a 2-light window. 1st floor has 3 chamfered mullioned windows of 2-lights. All lack mullions. Attached to left hand end is single-aisled barn. Coped gables with kneelers and quoins. To south-west, barn has segmental arched cart entry on skewbacks next to aisle which breaks forward and has segmental arched doorway with chamfered surround next to arch-headed light. Rear of barn has mistal doorway with tie-stones and straight lintel at right angles to house doorway.
An inspection of the interior 10 years ago revealed the unusual feature of an original door entry leading from the house directly into the barn placing this building in the long-house tradition.
