Full description:
Handed pair of early C19 single-cell cottages with added cell c1830. Hammer-dressed stone, ashlar to addition, stone slate roof. 2-storey south front, 3 storeys to rear. Cottages each have doorway with sill tie and flat faced mullioned window of 3 lights to each floor formed by 2 wide lights (fixed) either side of a narrower central light formerly sashed (altered to casement). Gutter brackets. Quoins. 2 stacks to ridge. Addition is set back and has lower roofline. Doorway with monolithic jambs to left of large sashed window with plain stone surround and projecting sill retaining 16 paned glazing with same over to 1st floor. Gutter brackets. Quoins. Coped gable with kneelers and stack. Rear of this cottage flush with others and has similar sashed windows to 1st and 2nd floor. Ground floor basement has 6-light flat faced mullioned window, the lintel inscribed " D A I R Y ". Quoins mark the division with other cottages which have 4 bays of 2-light flat faced mullioned windows (some lacking mullions) to basement and outer bays at 1st floor and all bays at 2nd floor.
