House, late C16. Large dressed stone, stone slate roof. Originally open-hall-house with floor inserted and added cell to east, early C18. South front has large projecting stones for plinth, perhaps to earlier timber-framed house. C19 doorway with tie-stone jamb to left of altered double chamfered mullioned and transomed windows of 6 lights altered with eaves dormer c1980. Cavetto moulded string course runs to next window which is
double chamfered mullioned and transomed stepped window of 3 over 4 lights with cavetto mullions. Remains of hoodmould with straight return. Inserted cellar underneath this window has outside steps down to it. Inserted wide window c1980 with eaves dormer over. Remains of coped gable with kneeler at junction with added cell which has doorway with heavy lintel and single lights to each floor. Left hand return wall has small cavetto chamfered window to ground floor and 2 to 1st floor with 3-light window set between. The roof has been raised to rear section. Rear has large dressed stone to centre but disturbed to right where wooden wall plate is visible. Right hand return wall has coped gable. 2 stacks to ridge.
Interior preserves fine king post truss with queen struts with stop chamfered king post tie beam which has a groove to its soffit and purlins. A much disfigured but important building.
