Full description:
Single stone of uncertain date bears inscription to 2 adjoining faces the letters 'A' have a cross bar, characteristic of C17 script and may date from the C17.
Inscription reads:
(Left Face)
'I D'
(Right Face)
'T E,
D E U M,
L A U D A,
M U S,
T E'.
Upon the top of the shaft there are letters "BG, TB" (TB is upside down) which may possibly be boundary marks. It is on an ancient packhorse route.
