Introduction

The Council’s Corporate Priority on the Environment seeks to improve the quality of our environment and promote respect for Calderdale’s heritage.

The Futures Plan 2006-2016, the Sustainable Community Strategy for Calderdale, includes an ambition for Calderdale to become a place which is responding to the challenges of climate change. To read the Futures Plan, visit  Calderdale Forward|.

Sustainable development is about working to meet these ambitions to make Calderdale a cleaner, greener and more sustainable place for its residents, workers and visitors.
