A 180 degree panoramic composite view of the north side of the Calder valley as seen from Wainhouse Tower in 1967. To the west and northwest (on p1), can be seen Rochdale Road and Pye Nest, the spire and graveyard of the old St Pauls church of King Cross, and Haugh Shaw school. To the north (on p2), are King Cross proper, showing housing and mills, with Pellon further distant. The third page shows Crossley & Porters School and sports fields to the northeast, and Albert Promenade leading down to the Rocks.
