Several shots showing Fairlea Mills in 1934.
Fairlea was a good example of the advances in technology of the larger producing mills. The mill was so efficient that no waste was roduced and the quality of the finished product was far superior to the material produced on smaller scales.
The firm ceased production in the mid-1980's. Part of the factory building had a glass roof, this building has now been demolished and the remainder is currently occupied by a vehicle dismantling business.
