Zoom in/out

  • This page gives instructions on how to use the image zoom facility.

Question: How do I make the images appear larger?

Answer: We have provided four levels of image zoom ranging from small thumbnail images to large high-resolution images showing fine detail. Naturally, larger images will take longer to download than smaller ones and we strongly advocate the use of smaller images sizes for rapid previewing, zooming in only to see detail when necessary.

Solution: Use the + and - controls to control the level of image zoom, please see figure 4a below. Selecting the zoom in control, marked +, will make the image larger and selecting the zoom out control, marked -, will make it smaller.

Note that if a zoom control is "ghosted out", see figure 4b below, you have taken the level of zoom as far as it can go.
