Reallocation / Appeal request to Primary School 2025

Introduction

Are you unhappy with the school place your child has been offered? You can ask for your child's name to be put on the reallocation list. This is for any places that may become available after 16th April 2025.

• If reallocation is requested at a higher preference school than has been offered, then the school offered can be retained.
• A higher preference school must be given up, if:
  • Reallocation is requested at a lower preference school than has been offered;
  • or a school which was not originally preferenced.
  (This will not guarantee a place for your child and the place given up will be offered to another child).
• If a school has been offered which was not originally preferenced, you can ask for reallocation to any school. (Without giving up the place offered.)

Reallocation lists will be maintained until the end of the first term of the academic year that starts September 2025.

Please complete this form no later than 1st May 2025. Notification of the outcome will be in writing by 15th May 2025. Details of this will not be given over the phone.

Appeals

Please contact the admissions team right away, if you want to pursue an appeal.

If you are refused a place at one (or more) of your preferred schools, you have the right to appeal. You can submit details of your reasons for asking for a specific school. An Independent Appeal Panel has the discretion and authority to admit a pupil above the published admission number.

Parents should note that a school place can be accepted whilst pursuing an appeal for an alternative school.

Please note: You have 20 school days from 16th April 2025, to prepare and lodge your appeal. You must contact the Admissions Team right away for more guidance.
