Engraving of the New Rooms, Harrison Lane, Halifax. These were Assembly Rooms designed by John Oates, and built by subscription in 1828. Including a subscription library, the Literary & Philosophical Society museum, concert rooms, and other games and function room, the building was demolished in 1898 to make way for Police and Court buildings.
