Page XLI, as part of the lands of Ilbert de Lacy, has entries for parts of Calderdale:
"In Hortesheve [Hartshead] Gerneber had 2 carucates of land taxable where 1 plough is possible. Now Alsige has [it] from Ilbert. There, 3 villagers have one plough. Woodland pasture, 3 furlongs long and 3 wide. Value before 1066, 10 shillings; now 5 shillings."
"In Elant [Elland] Gamel had 3 carucates of land taxable where 2 ploughs are possible. Ilbert has [it] now. Waste. Value before 1066, 20 shillings. Woodland pasture, ? league long and 4 furlongs wide; meadow, 4 acres."
"In Overe [(South)Owram] Gamel had 3 carucates of land taxable where 2 ploughs are possible. Ilbert has [it]. Waste. Value before 1066, 20 shillings. Woodland pasture, 3 furlongs long and 3 wide."
