Mixenden Activity Centre uses multi surface areas to develop personal riding skills as a one off fun session or a developmental course. Adults can even progress through to becoming an instructor themselves with the MIAS level 1 QCF Level 2 non-technical instructor courses.
With flat tarmac and grass floodlit areas you can develop yourself on the skill obstacles and dedicated downhill run before heading out on local trails to put your new skills into practice. Skill sessions incorporate safe on and off road riding skills, equipment selection and maintenance before during and after the trail. Navigation, planning a route safely using designated tracks and areas.
Mountain bikers can work towards MIAS ‘Gears award’ or a Calderdale accredited award.
